YANEZ BORELLA AND ENZO ROMERI: A NEW CHALLENGE
The adventure is taking shape: the athletes Borella and Romeri have put in the backpack – strictly trail-running – yet another challenge. And we will accompany them, of course 😉
Yanez Borella, a hiker and runner from Trentino, from September 5th will be the protagonist of a great venture together with his friend Enzo Romeri: running the Path of Peace, from Passo del Tonale to Marmolada 🏃♂️
This new adventure comes mainly from the desire to unleash their competitive soul, for too many months locked up, but also from the desire to pay homage to a territory so rich in history.
It is a route of almost 500 km with about 30,000 m D+, which crosses the places of memory. The route, totally developed in Trentino, winds through military roads and trenches built by the Italian and Austro-Hungarian army during the First World War.
A signage represented by a dove will guide the two friends along the Path of Peace. Their arrival in Marmolada is scheduled for Friday, September 11th.
Yanez, a few days before departure, is already loaded and ready to face this new challenge. ” Enzo and I – he says – are mountain lovers and this year we have suffered the lack of competitions. We studied something exciting so we could put ourselves out there. Our project is about competition and performance: we will run this part of the path in a single track and we will try to run continuously, observing small necessary stops “.
The two athletes are not new to this kind of feats. A year ago Yanez travelled 10,000 km by e-bike in 100 days from Fai della Paganella in Trentino to Kashgar, China. Last June he travelled (running) the via Romea Germanica – from Trentino to Rome – using a cart tied to life with everything needed to be self-sufficient.
The challenge will also be rich of social significance, because Yanez Borella and Enzo Romeri will run alongside ADMO to help research.
To face the distance and the high altitude difference, the two runners will rely on the lightness of the foldable poles model Trecime Fix Carbon.
We are proud to support these two athletes who perfectly reflect Masters values: desire to overcome limits, history, sustainability and generosity.
You can follow Yanez and Enzo through the photos and videos they will post on their social media pages.
